Chicago – The Band at Saratoga Performing Arts Center

Since their inception in 1967, Chicago have had their fair share of lineup changes. With a band this old though, it’s more about the past members dying or getting old rather than any bad blood amongst them. The current lineup has been around since around 2012, and they’ve been touring year round that entire time. There are very few bands that have been as consistent over the years as Chicago. Although their lineup has had its own set of ebbs and flows, the band has continued to release studio albums regularly since their very first in 1969. Their most recent, Chicago XXXVIII: Born For This Moment, is their twenty sixth studio album. Now, they’re hitting the road once again for an extra-long series of shows across the US and Canada. What makes Chicago’s relentless album release schedule all the more impressive is the fact that, for the entirety of their career, they’ve also been touring relentlessly. They tour pretty much all year round, and they don’t just go across states; the rock n roll life has taken Chicago far and wide, from London to Sydney. This year, however, they're sticking to The States, with dates all across the map. Still, the fact that they can maintain such a packed schedule (touring, recording and promoting albums, etc.) is truly amazing.
