In their newest incarnation, jangly folk-rock troubadours The Lumineers will be performing at Saratoga Performing Arts Center on Saturday 6th June 2020 as part of a mammoth 20-city tour in support of their brand new album, III! The group have proven themselves to be a must-see live act over the years, with animated and energetic shows that leave the crowd in a frenzy! Formed in 2005 in New York City by Wesley Schultz (lead vocals, guitar) and Jeremiah Fraites (drums, percussion), The Lumineers are a Denver-based American folk rock band. In 2010, after relocating from New York City to Denver, Schultz and Fraites met cellist and vocalist Neyla Pekarek, who became a member of the band from 2010 – 2018. In 2012, the band made its debut with an eponymous first studio album. The album peaked at number two on the Billboard 200, and has been certified triple platinum in the US and Canada, as well as platinum in the UK and Ireland, and gold in Australia. Cleopatra (2016), the group's follow-up, debuted at number one in the U.S., U.K. and Canada, and is certified platinum in the US. Since their inception, The Lumineers have become one of the top touring bands in the United States, and have charted several international hit singles including "Ho Hey", "Stubborn Love", "Ophelia" and "Cleopatra".
